Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Automotive Technician to join our After Sales team at Proton Simpang Kuala, Alor Setar.

The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle inspection, servicing, diagnosis, maintenance and repair while ensuring all work is carried out according to Proton standards and workshop procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspection, servicing and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical vehicle problems.
• Carry out repair, replacement and adjustment of vehicle components.
• Perform engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering and air-conditioning related repairs.
• Conduct vehicle testing after servicing or repair to ensure proper operation.
• Identify and report vehicle defects and technical issues.
• Follow Proton technical specifications, repair procedures and service standards.
• Ensure all repair work is completed accurately and within the required timeframe.
• Properly record technical findings, repair work and parts used.
• Maintain and take proper care of workshop tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Comply with all workshop safety procedures and company policies.
• Attend technical training and product training as assigned.
• Perform other duties related to workshop operations as assigned by the After Sales Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Automotive, Vehicle Maintenance or related field.
• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant automotive qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnosis, servicing and repair.
• Able to use automotive diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
• Possess a valid Class D driving licence.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
