About The Job
As the High Voltage (HV) Senior Manager, you will take full ownership of the HV and Medium Voltage (MV) design, grid interconnection, and commissioning processes for high-impact utility-scale solar, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects. Your technical expertise will drive the design of substations, switchyards, and protection systems (typically 11kV to 132kV, and up to 275kV). You will act as the key liaison for grid connections with TNB and the Single Buyer, managing Grid Code compliance, Power System Studies (PSS), and interconnection agreements. Additionally, you will champion HV safety protocols (LOTO, Permit-to-Work), oversee testing and energization with ST, and provide critical technical support during the tendering phase.

You will step into a pivotal leadership role tasked with leading the HV department and revitalizing the technical capabilities of a dedicated team of engineers. You will be responsible for stabilizing the team, establishing clear roles, and building robust departmental systems, including SOPs, design templates, and lessons-learned records. A core part of your mission is people development—you will mentor junior engineers through structured technical reviews and build a clear competency path to ensure a high-performing, technically sound, and motivated team.
