Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Finance Analyst to join our finance team. This role will support the Financial Controller in managing day-to-day financial operations, with a key focus on financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with practical experience in handling financial reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Closing

· Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

· Manage and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities.

· Prepare financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.

· Review general ledger balances, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations.

· Ensure financial reporting complies with applicable accounting standards and internal accounting policies.

· Identify and resolve reporting discrepancies and accounting issues.

2. Management Reporting & Financial Analysis

· Prepare monthly management reporting packages, including financial performance summaries and key financial indicators.

· Perform variance analysis and trend analysis.

· Provide meaningful commentary on financial performance, business drivers, and key variances.

· Analyse revenue, operating expenses, profitability, and cash flow performance.

· Develop financial dashboards and reports to support management decision-making.

· Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.

3. Group Reporting & Consolidation

· Review intercompany transactions, balances, and reconciliations.

· Prepare consolidation adjustments and elimination entries.

4. Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls

· Coordinate with external auditors and support annual statutory audits.

· Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and financial disclosures.

· Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and internal financial policies.

· Maintain effective financial controls and reporting processes.

· Identify potential financial reporting risks and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls and financial governance.

5. Process Improvement & Systems

· Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting and closing processes.

· Improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround time through automation and standardisation.

· Develop and maintain reporting templates, dashboards, and standard operating procedures.

· Participate in finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

6. Stakeholder Management

· Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Sales, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

· Provide financial insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.

· Support management presentations and financial performance reviews.

7. Others

· Provide administrative and project support to the finance team as required.

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Hold professional accounting membership (ACCA, CPA, MICPA or equivalent).

· 4 – 6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, external auditing, or related roles.

· Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

· Inquisitive, proactive, adaptive, resourceful & good problem-solving skills.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Experience in supporting external audits.

· Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ ERP systems.

· Power BI dashboard experience is a plus

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM9,300.00 per month
