To safely operate Class 5prime movers and trailers for the delivery, collection and transportation of goods, including steel and heavy materials, to various locations in Singapore, particularly industrial areas, shipyards, construction sites and factories, while complying with traffic regulations and workplace safety requirements.

Roles &Responsibilities

• Operate Class 5 prime movers and trailers to transport goods safely and according to delivery schedules.
• Deliver and collect steel products, heavy materials and other goods to/from industrial premises, shipyards, construction sites, factories and customers.
• Plan and follow suitable delivery routes, taking into account heavy vehicle restrictions, site access and traffic conditions.
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured and transported safely.
• Carry out safe reversing, turning, parking and manoeuvring of prime movers and trailers, particularly in confined or busy industrial areas.
• Follow site safety regulations, Safe Work Procedures (SWP), traffic laws and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects, breakdowns or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Check delivery orders and other relevant documents to ensure accurate collection and delivery.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Warehouse, customers and site personnel on delivery arrangements.
• Report delivery delays, accidents, near misses or safety concerns immediately.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and assist with other related logistics duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 5 Driving Licence (Compulsory).
• Preferably 1–3 years of relevant prime mover or trailer driving experience.
• Good knowledge of Singapore roads, particularly heavy industrial areas, shipyards, construction sites, factories and industrial estates.
• Experience transporting steel, heavy materials or industrial goods is an advantage.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow traffic regulations and site safety procedures.
• Able to manoeuvre heavy vehicles safely, including reversing and operating in restricted spaces.
• Responsible, punctual and able to work independently.
• Willing to work overtime or weekends when required.
