About The Role
- Perform Prophet modelling and maintenance tasks.
- Support in other local statutory reporting such as Financial Condition Report (FCR) and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) submission.
- Increased responsibility in actuarial modelling
- To perform model development, maintenance and enhancement for valuation, projections, capital assessment and business planning.
- To implement new products, product changes and regulatory requirements within actuarial models.
- To perform model validation, testing and reconciliation to ensure model accuracy and completeness.
- To prepare model documentation, methodologies and validation reports.
- To investigate and resolve model issues, data discrepancies and calculation anomalies.
- To support internal and external audits, peer reviews and regulatory examinations.
- To ensure compliance with actuarial standards, company policies and model risk management requirements.
- To mentor junior team members or interns, guiding them in their work related to modelling.
- To communicate actively with pricing team to understand the model requirement for new product features and campaign launched.
- Coordinate and compile actuarial information and analyses required for the FCR and other regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with BNM requirements and reporting timelines.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.
- Undergraduate degree in actuarial science.
- Have more than 2 years of working experience.
- Good exam progression with Actuarial Professional Exam in any actuarial professional body.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have knowledge and experience using Prophet, Microsoft Visual Foxpro and Microsoft Excel.
