Job Description

• Prepare and file corporate income tax returns, indirect tax returns (e.g. SST), and withholding tax submissions accurately and on time
• Compute tax provisions, estimates, and deferred tax balances
• Maintain tax schedules and supporting documentation for audits and reviews
• Reconcile tax accounts and review general ledger entries for tax implications
• Keep track of filing deadlines and statutory requirements, and stay current on tax law changes
• Respond to queries from tax authorities and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
• Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce risk and cost
• Work with the accounting team to ensure transactions are recorded correctly for tax purposes
• Assist with tax investigations

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
• [0-2] years of experience in tax, accounting, or audit (fresh graduates with strong fundamentals are welcome to apply)
• Solid understanding of [country] tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g. [AutoCount / SQL / SAP / Xero])
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English [and other languages if needed]
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently

Nice to have

• Progress toward a professional qualification (ACCA, CTIM, CPA, or equivalent)
• Internship or work experience at an accounting firm or in-house finance team
• Experience with e-invoicing or tax filing portals

Pay: RM3,200.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
