Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physiotherapist role based in Petaling Jaya at Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara. The Physiotherapist will assess patients’ physical conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to support recovery, mobility, and pain management. Daily responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, administering therapeutic exercises and manual therapy, using appropriate electrotherapy and rehabilitation equipment, and monitoring progress with clear clinical documentation. The role involves collaborating closely with medical consultants, nurses, and other allied health professionals to provide holistic, patient-centered care and to contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions. The Physiotherapist will also educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications, while supporting hospital initiatives in preventive health, community outreach, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a recognized Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution, with valid professional registration where applicable.
• Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic exercise prescription, and manual therapy techniques.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of rehabilitation principles in orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, sports injuries, and post-surgical recovery.
• Candidates should possess competency in using physiotherapy and rehabilitation equipment, including electrotherapy devices, exercise tools, and mobility aids.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients and families, and to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
