Overview

Our client is an established organisation undergoing continued technology transformation. They are seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to lead their security operations function, strengthen incident response capabilities and enhance the organisation's overall security posture.

Role

Reporting to the senior cybersecurity leadership team, you will oversee the day-to-day security operations function, managing a team of security analysts and working closely with external security service providers. You will take ownership of end-to-end cybersecurity incident management, from initial detection and triage through investigation, containment, remediation and resolution. In addition, you will drive improvements in threat monitoring, detection and response processes, while partnering with internal stakeholders to strengthen operational resilience. You will also be responsible for managing incident escalations, providing timely updates to senior management and ensuring effective coordination during critical security events.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in security operations.
  
• Proven people management experience, having directly led and managed a team of security analysts.
  
• Strong hands-on experience leading end-to-end security incident response, including triage, investigation, containment, remediation and resolution.
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage critical security incidents, coordinate across technical teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.
  
• Good understanding of security monitoring, threat detection and response technologies, including SIEM and EDR solutions. Relevant cybersecurity certifications would be advantageous.
