Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Open to Malaysian citizens only)

Job Type: Contract (1 Year, Extendable)

Experience Required: 7+ Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Java Developer with strong technical design and leadership skills to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for developing high-performance enterprise applications, mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and ensuring code quality across the system lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive technical design, documentation, hands-on coding, SIT testing, UAT support, and production releases.
• Mentor junior developers, monitor deliverables, and conduct rigorous source code reviews.
• Ensure all development strictly complies with internal system development guidelines and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with business users, project teams, and technology vendors.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Java software development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot (Mandatory), Spring, and Java EE.
• Solid database experience with Oracle 11g+ or DB2 v10+, including PL/SQL and Stored Procedures.
• Hands-on experience with JBOSS and Tomcat application servers and troubleshooting.
• Proven background in Microservices Architecture and custom application integration security design.
• Strong proficiency in JSON, RESTful APIs, and Web Services.

Preferred / Good to Have:

• Experience leading teams working on Angular / Spring Boot applications.
• Background in the Insurance Industry domain.
• Experience with high-volume transactional systems, Maven, CLI build scripts, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Jira.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
