We are looking for a Demand Planner, APAC to own and improve our regional demand forecast across markets, channels and product categories. You will combine sales and order data with distributor forecasts, market insights and commercial plans to develop a credible view of future demand. You will work closely with Commercial, Finance and market teams to challenge assumptions, explain changes and identify risks and opportunities.

Your work will provide a reliable foundation for regional supply, purchasing and inventory decisions as we expand our business across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts at the product, market and channel levels needed for planning decisions
  • Build baseline forecasts using sales history, order patterns, seasonality and market information

  • Distinguish recurring demand from initial stock builds, exceptional orders and other one-off activity
  • Document assumptions and explain material changes between forecast cycles

2. Commercial and distributor collaboration

  • Obtain timely forecasting inputs from Commercial, distributor account owners and country teams
  • Challenge significant movements and unsupported assumptions using available evidence
  • Assess distributor forecasts against order history, inventory and sell-through information where available
  • Maintain clear distinctions between sales targets, expected demand and confirmed orders
  • Work with Finance and market leaders to understand gaps between forecasts, budgets and commercial plans

3. Demand review and S&OP support

  • Coordinate demand-review inputs, analysis and follow-up within regional S&OP
  • Prepare a consolidated demand view highlighting changes, assumptions, risks and opportunities
  • Facilitate validation of demand assumptions with Commercial, Finance and market leaders
  • Maintain forecast versions and records of agreed changes
  • Provide timely updates when material developments occur between planning cycles

4. Product, seasonal and channel planning

  • Develop new-product forecasts using comparable products, distribution plans and market assumptions
  • Incorporate seasonal ranges, promotions and major customer initiatives
  • Monitor launch performance and revise forecasts as evidence develops
  • Plan demand transitions between existing and replacement products
  • Reflect the different demand patterns of distributors, subsidiary markets and direct-to-consumer channels

5. Forecast performance and decision support

  • Track forecast accuracy and bias at appropriate product, market and planning-horizon levels
  • Investigate variances and distinguish demand changes from order timing, supply constraints and data issues
  • Identify recurring forecasting weaknesses and coordinate corrective action
  • Provide scenarios where uncertainty could materially affect supply or inventory decisions
  • Explain demand trends and their business implications clearly to stakeholders

6. Supply partnership and planning improvement

  • Provide timely demand requirements and scenarios
  • Highlight changes that could create shortages, excess stock or reallocation opportunities
  • Preserve visibility of underlying demand when fulfilment plans are constrained by supply
  • Maintain accurate planning data, assumptions and version control
  • Improve forecasting templates, tools and reporting as regional capabilities develop

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in demand planning, forecasting or commercial planning
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience owning product-level forecasts and working directly with commercial stakeholders
  • Practical understanding of forecast accuracy, bias, seasonality, promotional demand and product lifecycle planning
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills, including experience with sales, order and inventory datasets
  • Confidence to challenge assumptions constructively and translate analysis into clear business implications
  • Experience supporting multiple markets or channels is preferred
  • Exposure to distributor forecasting and structured demand-review or S&OP processes is an advantage
  • Experience with ERP, forecasting or BI tools; NetSuite or Power BI experience is an advantage
  • Sporting goods, consumer products, apparel, footwear, lifestyle or FMCG experience is an advantage
