Company Description SG International Marathon (SGIMPL) is a Singapore-based private limited company formed to organize Singapore’s National Marathon. It is a joint venture between Betterment Sports (Singapore) and Score Sports (Singapore) and was appointed Event Promoter by Sport Singapore, under the Ministry of Community, Culture and Youth, through an open tender in 2025. SGIMPL holds full rights for the BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas, overseeing all commercial, marketing, communications, operations, and production aspects. The event takes place annually over three days on the first weekend of December, featuring Kids Dash, 5KM, 10KM, Half-Marathon, and Marathon categories. The Marathon is Southeast Asia’s only World Athletics Gold Label race and, together with other certified distances, attracts over 52,000 participants each year.

Role Description The Event Contract Staff role is a contract, on-site position based in Singapore supporting the delivery of the BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with Programming, Protocol Management, Hospitality Planning and on-ground coordination at the Start and Finish Venue. The role involves supporting event operations such as VIP & GOH coordination, transport arrangement, hospitality setup, and coordination with vendors, volunteers, and internal teams. The position requires working flexible hours, including weekends and early mornings, in line with event schedules.

Qualifications

• Coordination and Communication skills to interact professionally with GOH, VIPs, contractor and colleagues.
• Event Planning skills to support protocol planning, logistic setups and transport arrangements.
• Ability to work on-site for long hours, including weekends and early mornings, and manage physically active tasks such as setup and teardown.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and time management abilities in a fast-paced event environment.
• Prior experience in sports or large-scale events is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic proficiency in English; additional languages commonly used in Singapore are beneficial.
