Provide leadership and strategic oversight of engineering, design coordination, and technical delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
Establish processes for reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submissions to ensure compliance and constructability.
Oversee RFIs, technical clarifications, design changes, and shop drawing and material approval schedules.
Lead cross-disciplinary design coordination and BIM implementation to minimise clashes, reduce rework, and improve construction efficiency.
Work closely with project and construction teams to align technical deliverables with construction methodologies, sequencing, and procurement schedules.
Oversee technical assessments of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials to support procurement decisions.
Ensure engineering activities comply with contractual specifications, statutory requirements, company standards, and quality management procedures.
Monitor technical inspections, quality assurance processes, as-built documentation, and project handover deliverables.
Identify significant engineering risks and establish mitigation and change management strategies to protect project timelines, costs, and quality.
Allocate engineering resources, mentor technical personnel, and develop team capabilities.
Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Present engineering performance, technical risks, and key project issues to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
