ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Temporary Tax & Finance Executive to support its tax and financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with withholding tax and GST matters, preparing reconciliations and supporting financial reporting activities. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of tax operations while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative and professional working environment.
WORKING DAYS
Monday to Thursday: 8.30am – 6.00pm; Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm.
Hybrid arrangement: 3 days working from office and 2 days working from home.
First month: fully office-based for onboarding.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Tax Responsibilities (90%)
Review and file withholding tax returns every month, ensuring timely filing to the IRAS and adequate approval of journals
Prepare monthly reconciliation of withholding tax filings and payments
Address simple WHT queries from various departments
Prepare and post journal entries for GST
Perform quarterly Balance Sheet reviews
Generate reports and prepare schedules for quarterly GST filing
Collate information for property tax related matters
Assist in any ad-hoc duties and projects, as assigned
Finance Responsibilities (10%)
Assist in financial operational work for a research cluster, as required
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum 3 to 4 years of working experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Basic knowledge of GST, withholding tax and/or property tax is preferred.
SAP S/4HANA knowledge and experience are an advantage.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Process improvement mindset with a can-do attitude
Willingness to learn
