Senior Event Producer

We are a specialist financial publishing, events and intelligence business seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Event Producer to join our team.

Our events bring together senior figures from across the financial services industry, including regulators, financial institutions, investors, professional advisers and other industry leaders. The role spans three principal formats: international forums and conferences, invitation-only roundtables and dialogues, and specialist training programmes.

This is primarily a content and programme production role, rather than an event logistics position. The successful candidate will take significant responsibility for what our events discuss, who participates and how those discussions are developed.

Remuneration: RM4000 - RM6000

The Role

The Senior Event Producer will play a central role in the development and quality of our international events programme.

Responsibilities will include:

• Researching markets, industry developments and emerging themes to identify relevant and commercially attractive event topics.
• Developing agendas, session concepts and programme content across conferences, roundtables, dialogues and training programmes.
• Identifying, approaching and securing high-quality speakers, moderators and contributors.
• Building and maintaining relationships with senior industry participants, including regulators, financial institutions, investors, advisers and other key stakeholders.
• Working directly with speakers and moderators in the lead-up to events to ensure sessions are well structured, relevant and engaging.
• Developing detailed session plans, including discussion themes, questions and briefing materials for moderators and panellists.
• Identifying new speakers, organisations and perspectives rather than relying solely on established industry contacts.
• Contributing ideas for new event formats, markets and subject areas and helping continuously improve existing programmes.
• Working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure programmes meet both editorial and commercial objectives.
• Taking ownership of projects and deadlines, anticipating potential issues and ensuring that commitments are followed through.
• Working closely with our events team to ensure programme and speaker requirements are communicated effectively ahead of each event.
• Attending selected international events and supporting speakers, moderators and programme delivery on-site where required.

The role also includes responsibility for the accurate and timely coordination of programme-related materials, including speaker biographies, presentation materials, moderator briefings, training documentation and other event content.

The Person

This role requires considerably more than good organisation. We are looking for someone with judgement, intellectual curiosity, confidence and a strong sense of ownership.

You will ideally have at least two years' experience producing high-quality conferences, roundtables, training programmes or other business events, with a demonstrable record of developing strong programmes and securing senior speakers. Experience in financial services, professional services or another sophisticated B2B sector would be a significant advantage.

You will be able to work independently and make good decisions without requiring constant direction. You will be comfortable taking responsibility for a programme or project and driving it forward from initial research and concept development through to the event itself.

You will have excellent written and spoken English and the ability to research unfamiliar subjects, understand them quickly and turn that research into intelligent programme content and discussion topics.

You will also be confident communicating with senior industry figures. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable approaching a prospective speaker for the first time, developing a relationship with a regulator or senior executive, and working closely with moderators and panellists to improve the quality of a discussion.

You will be highly organised, commercially aware, entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change. You should enjoy being part of a small team in which people take responsibility and contribute beyond narrowly defined job descriptions.

International travel will be required.

An understanding of modern research tools and the use of AI and other technologies for research, programme development and productivity is essential.
