We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Kotlin and large-scale Android application development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering secure, high-performance Android applications, with the ability to independently troubleshoot complex production issues and work within established, multi-team codebases.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Kotlin Development: Minimum 4 years of commercial Android development experience using Kotlin, with recent hands-on experience writing production code. Comfortable working with existing Java-based codebases.
• Android SDK & Architecture: Strong understanding of Android Activity and Fragment lifecycles, configuration changes, state restoration, process death, task and back-stack management, background execution and multi-module application architecture.
• Jetpack Compose: Experience with Jetpack Compose, particularly integrating Compose components into existing View-based applications, is an advantage.
• Concurrency & Performance: Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, structured concurrency, dispatchers and cancellation. Ability to diagnose race conditions, main-thread bottlenecks and memory leaks using heap analysis and debugging tools.
• Android Security: Practical knowledge of Android Keystore, encrypted local storage, BiometricPrompt, certificate pinning, permissions, scoped storage and root/tamper detection. Experience handling sensitive customer data securely.
• Production Debugging: Ability to independently investigate and resolve production issues involving application crashes (ANRs), UI performance, jank, frame drops, startup time and device/OS fragmentation.
• Application Maintenance: Experience maintaining and enhancing large-scale Android applications while ensuring reliability, performance and compatibility across different Android versions and devices.

Strongly Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Android SDK and target API upgrades for large production applications, including edge-to-edge implementation and Google Play Store compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Android App Links, deep links, custom URL schemes and Digital Asset Links verification.
• Experience troubleshooting Android OS, target SDK, WebView and Chromium-related compatibility issues.
• Experience integrating native Android applications with web-based journeys using WebView, deep links and session/configuration hand-offs.
• Background in banking, financial services, fintech, digital wallets or other secure, high-volume consumer applications.
• Experience developing or maintaining internal SDKs, design systems or shared frameworks used across multiple development teams.
• Familiarity with mobile observability, crash reporting and performance monitoring tools.
• Experience managing mobile CI/CD pipelines and native test automation.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional Android development experience, primarily using Kotlin.
• Strong hands-on experience delivering and maintaining production Android applications.
• Ability to independently investigate complex technical issues and drive them through to resolution.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering teams.
