Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operational activities of the wholesale business to ensure smooth operations, efficient stock management, effective staff supervision, and excellent customer service. The candidate must have relevant working experience in the wholesale industry, with a strong understanding of wholesale operations, inventory control, sales activities, and warehouse coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor daily wholesale operations to ensure all activities run smoothly and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of various operational departments, including Grocery, Receiving, Warehouse/Store, Fresh Produce, Seafood, Meat, Chicken, and Selling Floor.
• Monitor stock availability, inventory movement, stock replenishment, and product displays to ensure sufficient stock levels and product availability.
• Coordinate with the Purchasing and Category Management teams on stock requirements, product availability, pricing, promotions, and replenishment planning.
• Monitor receiving activities to ensure goods delivered by suppliers match the purchase orders, delivery orders, quantities, and product specifications.
• Ensure proper stock rotation, expiry date monitoring, product quality control, and compliance with storage and food safety requirements.
• Analyse sales performance, stock movement, operational issues, and customer purchasing trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor stock discrepancies, damaged goods, wastage, shrinkage, and inventory losses, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Supervise, guide, and monitor operational staff to ensure adequate manpower allocation, productivity, discipline, and compliance with established working procedures.
• Ensure the wholesale sales floor, warehouse, receiving areas, and storage facilities are maintained in a clean, organised, and safe condition.
• Handle operational issues, customer complaints, supplier-related matters, and stock availability concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in planning and executing promotional activities, bulk sales arrangements, seasonal sales, and other initiatives to support business growth.
• Prepare operational reports and provide updates to management on sales performance, inventory status, manpower requirements, and operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), occupational safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Perform other operational duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operation Manager or Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in wholesale, wholesale supermarket, or a similar high-volume retail operation.
• Candidates with direct experience in wholesale business operations will be highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of inventory management, stock control, receiving procedures, product replenishment, and warehouse operations.
• Experience in supervising operational teams and coordinating multiple departments.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
• Able to analyse sales and inventory data and prepare operational reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with inventory management or retail operating systems.
• Able to work on weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts according to operational requirements.
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, discipline, and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Competencies

• Hands-on experience in wholesale supermarket operations.
• Familiarity with bulk purchasing patterns, high-volume stock movement, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
• Experience in stocktaking, inventory reconciliation, shrinkage control, and operational cost management.
• Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical improvements.
• Results-oriented with a strong focus on sales growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
