SimpliSolar is a rapidly growing Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) EPCC company delivering practical, high-impact renewable energy solutions for commercial, industrial and residential customers.

We are seeking a motivated Pre-sales Engineer to lead our Operations & Project Delivery Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Proactively support Sales teams by providing timely technical input, site assessment findings and proposal support for assigned Residential, C&I and EV opportunities.

b) Conduct or support site assessments to capture accurate roof, electrical, load, space, access, safety, shading, EV charging and other relevant technical information required for proposal preparation.

c) Prepare preliminary technical solution inputs, system sizing assumptions, layout information, BOQ inputs, scope notes and technical clarifications for review by the Senior Pre-Sales Engineer.

d) Ensure technical proposal inputs are complete, accurate, feasible and aligned with customer requirements, site conditions, approved product offerings and commercial assumptions.

e) Coordinate closely with Sales to clarify customer requirements, close technical information gaps and support timely proposal submission.

f) Strengthen proposal quality by identifying site constraints, technical risks, missing information, scope gaps or execution concerns before proposal finalisation.

g) Escalate complex, unusual or high-risk technical matters to the Senior Pre-Sales Engineer for review, validation or decision.

h) Support positioning of integrated or value-added solutions such as Solar PV, BESS, EV charging, EMS, O&M or other related offerings where technically and commercially relevant.

i) Provide practical technical clarification to Sales and, where required, customers to improve customer understanding, confidence and proposal acceptance.

j) Maintain proper records of site assessment findings, technical assumptions, proposal inputs, customer requirements, BOQ notes and handover information.

k) Coordinate with Operations, Procurement and Sales to ensure awarded jobs are supported by complete, accurate and execution-ready technical information.

l) Support proposal-to-execution handover by clarifying sold scope, technical assumptions, site conditions and material / BOQ inputs where required.

m) Keep updated on solar PV, EV charging, BESS / EMS fundamentals, products, authority / utility requirements, installation constraints and technical proposal practices.

n) Continuously improve technical sales support capability by applying learning, reducing repeated proposal errors and sharing practical technical observations with the Pre-Sales / Sales team.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in solar PV, electrical works, technical proposal support, site assessment, engineering support or renewable energy projects. (fresh grad with relevant experience are welcome)
• Basic understanding of solar PV systems, EV charging, electrical drawings, site assessment, proposal preparation and BOQ / scope input.
• Knowledge of BESS, EMS, energy monitoring, O&M or renewable energy solutions is an added advantage.
• Able to read drawings, interpret site requirements and prepare basic technical / proposal inputs.
• Good analytical, documentation, coordination and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively with Sales, Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, Operations, Procurement and other internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple proposal support requests within required timelines.
• Willing to attend site visits, customer meetings or technical clarification sessions where required.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
