About the role

Samyang Foods Singapore is APAC Regional Headquarters to lead strategy, new products and go-to-market across Southeast Asia and Oceania. You will set up the regional procurement function from scratch: first for marketing and professional services, then for supply chain and contract manufacturing as the region localizes its regional value chain. You will be the key partner and enabler who lets the APAC Headquarters thrive while you secure the right partners at the right terms.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Team Lead role based in Singapore.

The Procurement Team Lead:

• Build the regional procurement function: policy, sourcing process, vendor master, contract templates, and the approval workflow with HQ
• Lead marketing procurement across the region: creative, digital, media, research, PR and production agencies, including agency roster design, pitch management, scope and fee negotiation, and performance reviews
• Lead supply-chain procurement: third-party logistics, warehousing, co-packing, with a view to regional consolidation
• Lead manufacturing sourcing: OEM/contract manufacturers for noodles, sauces and snacks, and raw-material sourcing, working with HQ R&D, Quality Control and Supply Chain
• Negotiate and manage regional framework agreements; run the vendor evaluation and risk process
• Track savings, service levels and compliance; report procurement value to regional management
• Lead a team of 3 as the function scales

Qualifications

• 12+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing, including at least 5 years in a multinational consumer goods environment
• Hands-on experience in at least two of: marketing/agency procurement, logistics and 3PL procurement, contract manufacturing or raw-material sourcing
• Proven record of setting up or restructuring a procurement function or category in a regional or global role
• Strong negotiation and contracting skills, with experience managing legal and finance interfaces
• Comfortable operating with limited structure: builds process rather than waits for it
• Fluent English;
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, economics or engineering
