About the Role

The Senior Executive, Application Functional Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s Industry Specifics business applications effectively support business processes, operational requirements and user needs. This role serves as the functional bridge between business stakeholders, IT technical teams, application vendors and other relevant parties to ensure that business requirements are properly translated into effective application solutions.

The role encompasses functional analysis, requirements gathering, business process assessment, application configuration, solution evaluation, testing, user acceptance, application support and continuous improvement of Industry Specifics business applications. The role works closely with business users and application stakeholders to identify functional gaps, resolve application issues, improve business processes and ensure that application changes are aligned with business objectives and the overall enterprise application landscape.

What You'll Be Doing

Functional Application Management & Support

• Provide functional support and troubleshoot business application issues.
• Coordinate with technical teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution.

Business Requirements & Functional Analysis

• Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Identify system gaps and recommend solutions aligned with business needs.

Application Enhancement & Change Management

• Coordinate application enhancements, system changes and upgrades.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet approved business requirements.

Testing & User Acceptance

• Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing.
• Track defects, validate fixes and support go-live activities.

Business Process & Application Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation and improved application utilisation.
• Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

Application Integration & Enterprise Alignment

• Support integration between non-SAP applications, SAP and other enterprise systems.
• Validate data accuracy and ensure integration processes align with business requirements.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business application support, functional analysis or application implementation.
• Experience in enterprise applications, requirements analysis, system enhancement and testing; SAP environment experience is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of business process analysis, functional specifications and process modelling.
• Understanding of application configuration, system integration, APIs, SDLC, SIT and UAT.
• Basic SQL, database and IT Service Management knowledge is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and process modelling tools.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation and presentation abilities.
• Able to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and committed to continuous improvement.

Language Requirements

• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
