Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced Coating / Painting Inspector to monitor and verify surface preparation, coating application, and inspection activities on site. The successful candidate will ensure all coating works meet project specifications, procedures, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect surface preparation and coating application in accordance with project specifications and procedures
• Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) before, during, and after coating works
• Measure and record wet film thickness (WFT), dry film thickness (DFT), surface profile, and adhesion
• Verify coating materials, batch numbers, and shelf life against approved data sheets
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation
• Identify coating defects and non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions
• Work closely with the Construction, Quality, and Project teams to ensure compliance with client and project requirements
• Use coating inspection tools and equipment accurately and maintain them in good condition

Requirements:

• Certified with either one of the following as a minimum:
• Institute of Materials Malaysia (IMM) Coating Inspector Level II
• NACE International Certified Coating Inspector Level I
• SSPC PCI Level I
• FROSIO Level II
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in coating inspection
• Good working knowledge of all aspects of coating, including procedures, specifications, performance, and application
• Ability to use coating inspection tools competently
• Familiarity with oil & gas or petrochemical project standards is an advantage
• Willingness to work on site and to travel to project locations as required

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
