We are looking for a responsible and proactive Safety Officer to ensure a safe, healthy and compliant working environment across our plant and operational sites.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and prepare safety reports.
• Conduct safety audits and monitor compliance with company SOPs and safety requirements.
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Monitor PPE usage and ensure compliance with safe working practices.
• Coordinate emergency response activities and emergency preparedness.
• Identify workplace hazards and assist in risk assessments and implementation of control measures.
• Maintain proper HSE records, reports and documentation.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support safety training and awareness programmes.
• Assist in toolbox meetings and site safety briefings.
• Conduct regular monitoring of safety practices at operational sites.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant occupational safety and health requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certification is required.
• Green Book / DOSH / NIOSH certification will be an added advantage.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in Safety / HSE, preferably in construction, engineering, electrical or renewable energy projects.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety practices, risk assessment and emergency procedures.
• Good communication, reporting and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and conduct regular site visits.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
