Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Approximately 2 years of practical IT support experience in a hardware or infrastructure role.
• Comfortable travelling to client sites and working in customer environments as required.
• Valid driving licence + posses own motorbike is mandatory.
• Good discipline and working atittude.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Strong trobleshooting skills for hardware - computers and notebook.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows and basic Linux desktop environments and common office applications.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365 account setup and basic group policy tasks.
• Familiarity with networking configuration.
• Experience with ticketing systems, backup procedures and basic server or NAS administration.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Clear communicator who explains technical issues in plain language to users and stakeholders.
• Organised and detail oriented, able to maintain asset records and documentation consistently.
• Customer-service focused with patience and a positive attitude when handling incidents.
• Quick learner who adapts to new tools and follows procedures while suggesting sensible improvements.

As an IT Technician in Open Systems Matrix, you will build and scale on-premises hardware and network setups and also team work. 

Responsibilities

Onsite Support & Maintenance

• Provide day-to-day technical support for desktops, laptops, printers and peripheral devices at client sites and in-house.
• Diagnose hardware faults and perform repairs or coordinate with vendors for warranty service.
• Install and configure operating systems, device drivers and user applications to company standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine health checks to reduce repeat incidents.

Network & Infrastructure

• Set up network devices including switches, routers and access points, and verify connectivity and basic security settings.
• Assist with cabling, rack organisation and basic server tasks during deployments and upgrades.
