Work arrangement: Onsite @ Changi

Working hours: 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. May occasionally need to take evening/night calls to accommodate the US time zone.

Job scope:

• Purchasing
• Manage quotation, prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment and avoid stockouts.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and supplier performance.
• Maintain purchase order health, including aging, past due, and open POs, to ensure compliance with approval policies.
• Materials include Direct and Regulated Indirect with supplier for both local and oversea vendors.
• Supplier management and projects –
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous supply and negotiate favorable terms to achieve cost savings.
• Handle projects to support localization, direct sourcing, and BCP initiatives, to mitigate supply risk.
• Data Analysis and Reporting –
• Analyze purchasing data and generate reports to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement with digitalization tools.
• Implement PO Collaboration, Supplier Pull, VMI, MRP and/or historical usage to balance demand and supply against forecast, AOP and ROP targets.
• Inventory Management –
• Apply good knowledge and determine the optimal inventory level to meet service, forecast, and AOP requirements while managing working capital/spend.
• Able to balance trade-offs between inventory, service level and cost.
• Drive actions to mitigate excess, slow movement and critical material shortages.
• Logistics Coordination –
• Coordinate any urgent incoming shipments to warehouse, receiving and inspection.
• Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any shipping, delivery, receiving or PO issues.
• Quality Assurance –
• Ensure that purchased products meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address any issues related to supplier performance or product quality.
• Supports Edwards Internal controls and regulatory requirements, including SOX, and internal/external audits.
• Cross Functional Collaboration –
• Work closely with other departments, such as production, finance, engineering and quality, to align purchasing activities with overall business objectives.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and other strategic initiatives.
• Support material transfers and/or regional plan/buy activities for the network when needed.

Requirements:

• Vendor/supplier management and building strong supplier partnerships.
• Must have hands-on procurement/buying experience, not solely supplier relationship management.
• Strong preference for manufacturing and raw-material procurement experience.
• Equipment, MRO, or services procurement experience is less relevant.
