Job Posting Title
Gr 5 / PG 41 – EGM - Senior Director, EGM Consumer & Business Insights – Singapore
Job Description
- Role: EGM - Senior Director, EGM Consumer & Business Insights
- Reporting to: Madhav Nayak
- Country: Singapore
- Pay Grade: Gr 5 / PG 41
The Head of Consumer Business Intelligence (CBI) is the senior leader accountable for the consumer insights, analytics and data capability that underpins commercial decision-making across the sector. Reporting to the EGM, this role owns the CBI agenda end-to-end — from insight generation and analytics infrastructure through to embedding a consistent, high-calibre CBI capability across countries and ABUs (Area Business Units). The role leads a lean but senior team covering BCC, SH& B, Self Care and WH&AA, and holds a dotted-line relationship into country and ABU marketing leadership, balancing central capability-building with local relevance.
In This Role, You Will
- Strategic leadership. Define and drive the global CBI agenda, ensuring consumer insight and analytics directly inform brand, category and commercial strategy.
- Team & capability building. Lead and develop a distributed team spanning Sector CBI, category-specific CBI management, and data & analytics, building a thin but high-calibre bench able to cover multiple categories and geographies.
- Matrix leadership. Manage country/ABU CBI leaders on a dotted-line basis (solid line into local marketing heads), ensuring consistent standards, tools and ways of working without duplicating local structures.
- Data & analytics strategy. Oversee the data and analytics capability to modernise research, measurement and reporting infrastructure.
- Stakeholder management. Act as the primary CBI partner to the EGM and senior category/marketing leadership, translating business questions into actionable research and analytics plans.
- Governance & standards. Set methodology, vendor and quality standards for consumer research and analytics used across the organisation.
- Resourcing & budget. Own the CBI function's budget and resourcing model, prioritising investment across sectors and categories.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Strategic thinking. Connects consumer and market signals to enterprise-level commercial strategy, not just category-level insight.
- Leading through others. Builds and develops a small, high-calibre team; delegates with clear standards rather than controlling every output directly.
- Influence without authority. Effective in a matrixed structure, driving alignment with country/ABU leaders who report only dotted-line.
- Stakeholder orientation. Builds trusted, senior-level relationships with the EGM and marketing leadership; translates ambiguous business questions into a clear insight agenda.
- Change leadership. Drives adoption of new data and analytics capability across markets with varying levels of maturity.
- Judgement under ambiguity. Prioritises a thin team's effort across competing sector and country demands.
Key Measure of Success
- Operating model. A CBI operating model that is lean, high-calibre and consistently applied across BCC, SH&B, Self Care and WH&AA.
- Local alignment. Country/ABU CBI leaders operating with clear standards while remaining responsive to local market needs.
- Analytics backbone. A modern data & analytics backbone that reduces reliance on ad hoc research and speeds up decision-making.
- Stakeholder trust. Strong, trusted partnership with the EGM and senior marketing stakeholders, evidenced by insight actively shaping strategic decisions.
- Talent. Successful hiring and retention of high-calibre talent into the CBI team.
Please note: at this time Kenvue / KC will not be supporting candidates through a Immigration / Green Card / Permanent Residency process.
