We're Hiring: Application DBA / Stored Procedure Developer

We are looking for an experienced Application DBA / Stored Procedure Developer to support database migration initiatives, stored procedure conversion, and application-level database development.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and document existing Sybase stored procedures to understand embedded business and application logic.
• Re-engineer and convert stored procedures to T-SQL or the equivalent SQL dialect of the target platform.
• Validate converted procedures to ensure functional equivalence and accurate outputs.
• Collaborate with application developers to resolve dependencies between database logic and application code.
• Support database schema migration and data integrity validation.
• Participate in migration wave testing, cutover activities, and post-migration validation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in application-level database development or stored procedure engineering.
• Strong expertise in Sybase stored procedures and database architecture.
• Proficiency in T-SQL or an equivalent target-platform SQL dialect.
• Ability to analyse, interpret, and re-engineer complex business logic embedded in stored procedures.
• Experience with database migration projects, including schema conversion and functional validation.
• Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data migration methodologies is an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate: Someone with strong SQL development skills, analytical thinking, and hands-on experience in stored procedure conversion and database migration.
