The corporate banking unit based in Singapore specialises in managing KBC group relationships in and outside Belgium and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). It also offers an invaluable and specialised platform for those companies in Singapore that conduct business with, and in, Belgium and CEE.

We are currently looking for a highly dependable and self-motivated Credit Analyst to join our Commercial Banking team.

To succeed in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, able to work with Commercial Banking Team and build rapport with customers. We also expect you to be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

·      Manage an assigned portfolio across a diverse range of industries,  and ensure timely completion of accounts within the timeframe given.

·      Conversion of financial data from client’s annual report into internal system.

·      Generate and validate internal ratings in accordance with Bank’s internal system.

·       Prepare comprehensive Credit Application Packages, including financial analysis, business model assessment, risk identification, facility structuring and credit recommendations. Participate in client or bank meetings  credit applications as required.

·      Ensure a high level of credit risk defense. Maintain customer awareness and market alertness in order to react expediently to adverse credit developments.  

·      Strong business acumen and ensure all clients meeting the minimum threshold for returns. 

·      Present submitted Credit Application Package to Credit Committee Members.

·      Review and assess borrowing documentation for bilateral and syndicated facilities. Review, monitor and test financial covenants and other lending conditions.

·      Back-up of other Credit Analyst for urgent requirements.

·      Assist in prospect and industry research.

·      Support ESG-related initiatives and projects across the Bank. Foster a collaborative and professional working environment through open communication, knowledge sharing and a strong commitment to the Bank’s One Team culture.

·      Any other tasks / projects as assignment by the bank.

Requirements:

• At least 5 to 8 years credit experience in a major bank with exposure to broad range of industries and loan products including trade finance.
• Degree holder in Accountancy / Business / Banking & Finance or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to exercise sound judgement in complex credit situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and articulate credit views to senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to think independently, express views confidently and provide constructive challenge where appropriate.
•  Strong team player with a collaborative mindset, high level of professionalism and commitment to shared outcomes.
