Excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to join a cable manufacturing company as the Operation Trainer or In-Line Trainer in Kulim, Malaysia. The successful candidate will have experience in identifying and arranging suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance

Reports to HR Manager

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:

1. Complete understanding and application of the principles, concepts and standard practices for IPC, J-Standard as related to Soldering and Cable/harness Assembly.

2. Create course materials, such as PowerPoints, student handouts, and test for instructor led programs with student assessments.

3. Conduct training modules for Rapid’s personnel on a variety of technical topics including manufacturing processes and technologies, processes, and systems, etc.

4. Create training schedules for all company departments, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for the company.

5. Train new hires on company policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.

6. Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress.

7. Maintain current matrix system ensuring that all training and recertifications are up to date.

8. Assist new hire orientation and training for all new hires.

9. Conduct applicant testing and maintaining the matrix of scores.

10. Be solely in charge of all training for all the departments and ensure that everyone has met the company’s expectations.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience & Skill:

1. Experience in manufacturing, production, or cable harness industry is preferred.

2. Good verbal and written communication skills.

3. Experience in using IPC 620 & IPC 610 standards.

4. Ability to plan, organize, and deliver training programs effectively.

5. Monitor trainee progress and evaluate training effectiveness.

6. Ensure all mandatory and statutory training requirements are met.

7. Good presentation and facilitation skills.

8. Maintain training records, certification status, and training matrix.

9. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

10. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.

11. Ability to work independently and collaborate with different departments.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a trainer in a wire harness assembly manufacturing environment or related manufacturing industry.

2. Able to demonstrate manufacturing processes such as soldering, crimping, tinning, and harness assembly.

3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.

4. Experience working with manufacturing standards, such as J-STD and IPC requirements.

5. IPC Trainer certification is an added advantage.

6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

7. Good communication, presentation, and training facilitation skills.

8. Strong organizational skills and ability to work with employees across different departments.

Education:

1. Diploma or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in training (in-house)

3. IPC Certified is added advantage.
