Minimum 1 year of working experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Commis Cook, or Kitchen Helper in Chinese restaurants, canteens, or construction site base camps.

Proficient in basic knife skills and raw ingredient preparation (cutting, slicing, dicing) for large-scale meal preparation; familiar with basic Chinese home-style cooking or pastry preparation.

Good physical stamina, agile, and able to adapt to construction project camp schedules and early morning prep work.

Strict adherence to food safety and kitchen hygiene standards. Possess a valid medical checkup report, Typhoid Vaccination, and Food Handler Certificate (or willing to undergo required training/vaccination).

Able to communicate in Mandarin to effectively coordinate with the Head Chef; responsible, cooperative, and a good team player.

Ingredient Preparation: Assist the Head Chef in daily raw ingredient handling, including washing, peeling, cutting, slicing, and thawing meats and vegetables for daily project staff meals (approx. 50–150 pax).

Hygiene & Sanitation: Responsible for washing and sanitizing cookware, kitchen utensils, and tableware. Maintain high standards of cleanliness for kitchen workstations, floors, and storage areas, strictly following cross-contamination prevention guidelines.

Receiving & Stock Management: Assist in receiving daily deliveries of fresh produce, meat, and dry goods; verify freshness and quantity; adhere to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) stock rotation standards.

Meal Service Support: Assist in food portioning, warming, and serving during dining hours; assist the Head Chef in preparing late-night or overtime meals in accordance with site construction shifts.

Waste Management & General Support: Handle proper food waste disposal and kitchen closing routines; follow daily food sample retention procedures; execute any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Head Chef or Admin Supervisor.
