About the Team:

Corporate IT keeps our business running securely and efficiently. The Centralised License Admin (CLA) team manages enterprise software licences across Shopee and Sea’s global operations, ensuring effective governance, compliance and access.

In this role, you will manage centrally controlled software licences across their lifecycle, including utilisation, renewals, optimisation and cost management. You will also leverage AI, automation and data insights to streamline processes, reduce manual work and improve overall user experience.

Job Description:

Own & Improve License Management

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of centrally managed software licenses, including allocation, renewals, transfers and revocation.
  • Drive AI, Generative AI and automation initiatives to streamline processes, improve self-service and enhance user experience.
  • Maintain accurate license, subscription and entitlement records, with clear governance and controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability and turnaround time.
    • Provide guidance to stakeholders on software licensing, usage and entitlement matters.

Turn License Data into Business Value

  • Analyse utilization trends to identify underused, duplicate or unnecessary licenses.
  • Drive license optimization, reuse, rightsizing and cost avoidance.
  • Partner with IT Procurement and business teams on renewals, demand planning and future license needs.
  • Recommend appropriate license quantities and subscription models.
  • Develop dashboards and insights on cost, utilization, risk and optimization opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in software license management, software asset management, IT operations, IT service management, technology procurement or a related area.
  • Strong experience managing software licenses, subscriptions, utilization, renewals and governance.
  • Good understanding of license optimization and cost management.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups, including IT Helpdesk, IT Procurement, Finance, vendors and business teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
  • Experience improving processes, driving automation or participating in digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging both operational teams and stakeholders.
    • Able to work independently, make sound decisions and manage multiple priorities.

AI and Digital Experience

  • Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Gemini
  • Workflow automation using Power Automate, UiPath or Automation Anywhere
  • Data analysis and automation using Python, SQL, Excel or Power BI
  • AI-enabled chatbots, self-service solutions or knowledge-management tools
  • Process automation or digitalization projects
  • Using data to identify trends, anomalies and optimization opportunities
