This role resides under MISC Marine (the Integrated Marine Services arm of MISC Group).

Key Accountabilities

Financial Budget - SOC

• Assists in the development, communication, and presentation of budget.
• Support Operations in the preparation of the budget and provide recommendations to Operations.

Financial Close

• Prepare the Commercial Finance monthly financial close, aligned with Group policies, audit requirements and ensuring governance and compliance.
• Support internal/external audits.

Management Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare monthly reporting packs for stakeholders:
• MISC Management
• Operations
• Ship Owners
• Support Manager in preparing monthly performance review decks.

Accounting Information System and Finance Processes

• Subject matter experts on accounting information systems
• Propose improvement in system and processes.

Business Partnering

• Partner with Operational departments and Ship Owners on Budgeting cycle.
• Propose improvements in Annual Budget process.
• Business partnering with internal and external customers on business and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Finance to enhance financial accuracy in the ERP system.
• Challenge existing cost assumptions and work with the Business to optimise costs.

Requirements

Qualification:

Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent

Experience:

• At least 5 years of working experience in Finance, Accounting or Shipping related function.
• Shipping experience preferred.
• Prior experience with SAP S/4HANA is preferred and will be considered an added advantage.
