About this Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst to support, maintain and continuously improve our enterprise applications, ensuring maximum value from existing systems.

In this role, you will manage application issues, support system releases and lifecycle activities, maintain documentation, and identify opportunities to optimise application functionality and improve business processes. You will also work closely with business users, process owners and external vendors to enhance system reliability, user adoption and operational efficiency.

Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, you will collaborate with the Business Systems Analyst, Business Project Managers and external support partners to deliver effective application support and sustainable business improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide application support and resolve incidents, service requests and user queries.
• Work with business users, process owners and vendors to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Monitor recurring issues and support trends to improve application reliability and user experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes by increasing effective use of existing application functionality, configuration and reporting capability.
• Assess business requirements and prioritise improvements to existing systems before considering new solutions.
• Track improvement outcomes to ensure user adoption and measurable business value.
• Coordinate testing and validation for application fixes, releases, configuration changes and enhancements.
• Work with key users to ensure changes meet business requirements and minimise operational risks.
• Maintain testing documentation and support controlled releases.
• Develop and maintain user guides, knowledge articles and process documentation.
• Provide user guidance and training to improve application adoption and reduce support requests.
• Identify process gaps, recurring issues and underutilised application capabilities.
• Recommend improvements to streamline workflows, improve data quality, reduce manual work and strengthen business controls.
• Monitor the benefits of improvements, including efficiency, user adoption and satisfaction.
• Support application renewals, SLA monitoring, risk management, vendor coordination and release management.
• Maintain accurate application inventory records, including ownership, integrations, licensing and lifecycle status.
• Contribute to application roadmaps and support plans to improve system stability, adoption and long-term value.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in application support, business systems or enterprise application management.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications, resolving issues and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
• Strong stakeholder management, user support and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with IFS ERP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of IT service management, application lifecycle management, release management or business process optimisation is desirable
