Sharing the detailed scope:

Key Responsibilities

1. OpenShift Platform Engineering

Design and implement OCP cluster architecture, including multi-tenancy models (namespace isolation, network policies, resource quotas, RBAC per business unit/tenant)

Perform end-to-end node installation and configuration (master/control plane, worker, infra nodes) across bare-metal, virtualized (VMware), or hybrid environments

Plan and execute cluster upgrades (minor and major versions) with minimal downtime, including operator compatibility validation and rollback planning

Manage cluster networking (SDN/OVN-Kubernetes), ingress/routes, and troubleshoot connectivity issues

Configure and manage persistent storage integration (ODF, NFS, CSI drivers, enterprise SAN/NAS) for stateful workloads, ensuring appropriate access modes (RWO/RWX) per application need

2. Linux Infrastructure Management

Install, configure, and harden RHEL/Linux systems underpinning OCP nodes and supporting infrastructure

Manage patch cycles (OS and security patching) across production and non-production environments, including air-gapped/isolated networks where applicable

Maintain system performance, capacity planning, and infrastructure documentation

3 DevOps & CI/CD

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI, or similar) for application deployment to OCP

Implement GitOps practices (ArgoCD/OpenShift GitOps) for declarative, version-controlled deployments across dev/staging/prod

Integrate security scanning (SAST/DAST/SCA, container image vulnerability scanning) into pipelines

Manage secrets securely within pipelines (Vault, Sealed Secrets, OCP-native secrets management)

Support release strategies (blue-green, canary) and rollback procedures

4 Automation

Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles for OCP node provisioning, configuration management, and repetitive operational tasks

Drive automation-first practices to reduce manual intervention and improve consistency across environments

5. Security & Compliance

Apply CIS Benchmark hardening standards to OCP nodes, RHEL hosts, and container images

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments (infrastructure and image-level) and remediate findings within SLA

Pod security standards, and image signing/approval policies

Support audit and compliance requirements.
