Job Summary

The Business Development Executive will drive the growth of MNL Solutions by executing regional sourcing strategies to secure stable feedstock (used/scrap batteries and e-waste) and managing international black mass supply chains. This role also encompasses forging strategic partnerships, advancing EV charger deployments, and managing broader ESG, environmental sustainability, and circular economy initiatives across Malaysia and the region.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Sourcing & Business Development (Black Mass)

• Feedstock Procurement: Prepare and maintain a due diligence master checklist to identify, approach, and secure new suppliers of used and scrap batteries across Malaysia and the region.

• Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual battery collection, feedstock volume, and sales targets set by MNL.

• Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, lasting commercial relationships with workshops, automotive service centers, battery retailers, fleet operators, dealerships, logistics providers, and industrial facilities.

• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements for the purchase, collection, and logistics handling of used batteries and feedstock.

• Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and international supply chain movements in the battery recycling and black mass sectors.

Strategic Partnership & ESG Management

• Sustainability & Recycling Initiatives: Lead the coordination, execution, and performance tracking of sustainability, circular economy, and battery recycling projects.

• EV Charger Deployments: Oversee cross-functional project execution involving EV charger deployments, local site requirements, and technical stakeholders.

• Framework Implementation: Support the design and implementation of company-wide ESG programs, environmental impact initiatives, and ESG compliance frameworks.

Stakeholder & Government Relations

• Government Liaison: Serve as a primary relationship manager for NRES (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability) and other relevant government agencies.

• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor developments in local and regional environmental regulations, waste management policies, and sustainability frameworks.

• Grants & Subsidies: Identify, apply for, and manage government grants, green funding, and strategic sustainability partnerships.

Project Management & Reporting

• Cross-Functional Execution: Manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and reporting requirements for recycling operations and EV charger deployments.

• Reporting & Analytics: Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports tracking battery collection volumes, supplier performance, revenue opportunities, and partnership outcomes.

• Actionable Insights: Maintain accurate records of commercial contracts and provide data-driven recommendations to management to optimize operational efficiency and business growth.
