About the Role
This role will be fully responsible to own the e-commerce strategy and performance for Ecovacs across Southeast Asia. Our markets are distributor-led, so this role does not run day-to-day store operations. You are the internal e-commerce expert who understands the marketplaces, sets direction, challenges distributor plans, and turns marketplace data into clear actions. This is a build-from-scratch role with a path to regional e-commerce lead as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities:
Market and platform intelligence
Monitor Amazon, Lazada and Shopee across our markets and track what is happening in the category, on the platforms and among competitors.
Identify emerging consumer, category, platform and competitor trends, and anticipate upcoming platform moments so we act before competitors.
Become the internal expert on marketplace algorithms, platform tools, advertising formats and consumer behavior.
Strategy and planning
Recommend e-commerce strategy to the Sales Head and country sales managers.
Recommend which campaigns and platform moments the brand should join, and how.
Recommend hero products, new launches, bundles, exclusives and assortment priorities.
Provide recommendations on price architecture, promotion mechanics and price competitiveness.
Distributor management
Review, challenge and guide distributors' e-commerce and advertising plans, rather than executing everything ourselves.
Turn marketplace data (sales, traffic, conversion, assortment, pricing, promotions) into clear monthly and campaign action points for the sales team and distributors.
Build the reporting cadence and dashboards to track performance by country and platform.
Cross-functional alignment
Connect Brand/Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and distributors around e-commerce priorities.
Work with the HQ e-commerce team to bring in platform policies, tools, campaign calendars and best practices, and feed local market insight back.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field
6-10 years in e-commerce, marketplace management or channel/category management, ideally in consumer electronics, home appliances etc.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Amazon, Shopee and Lazada; experience with marketplace advertising and promotions.
Strong analytical skills: comfortable turning platform data into decisions.
Experience influencing distributors, agencies or partners without direct authority.
Business travel is required.
