Banquet Manager

M Hill Hotel | M Boutique Hotel Collective

M Hill Hotel is gearing up for its opening in April 2027, and we’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Banquet Manager to join our pre-opening team!

If you enjoy creating memorable events, leading a dynamic team and delivering exceptional hospitality, this could be the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee banquet operations for weddings, corporate functions, conferences and other events.
• Ensure timely venue setup, smooth event execution and compliance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Coordinate with Sales, Kitchen, Stewarding and other departments to deliver seamless event experiences.
• Lead, coach and develop the banquet team to maintain excellent service standards.
• Uphold high standards of grooming, personal presentation, service etiquette, cleanliness and professionalism.
• Manage manpower planning, inventory, equipment, labour costs and operational expenses.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally.
• Support pre-opening preparations, including SOP development, recruitment, training, equipment readiness and mock events.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in banquet or F&B operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of event planning, service standards and cost control.
• Hands-on, organised and able to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
• Pre-opening hotel experience will be an advantage.
