Our client is a leading European MNC in designing and developing high-tech systems (assembly equipment, machine control systems, medical equipment etc). The Singapore team houses the Development centre and we are looking for the following position of:

Project Manager (Hardware development)

Manage multiple engineering projects involving the development of complex machines and equipment for the semiconductor, medical device and precision instrumentation industries. You will oversee projects from initial customer discussions through to final delivery, ensuring they meet agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards and technical requirements. You will also lead engineering teams, manage customer relationships and identify opportunities to grow existing business.

Key Responsibilities

·       Manage End-to-End Projects – Lead multiple engineering projects from initial planning and customer discussions through design, development, testing and final delivery.

·       Manage Project Budgets and Timelines – Prepareproject budgets, resource plans and schedules, monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered within the agreed cost and timeline.

·       Manage Customers and Project Scope – Work closely with customers to understand their requirements, define project scope, prepare proposals and manage changes to project requirements, costs and schedules.

·       Lead Engineering Teams – Coordinate and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, electronics and software disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.

·       Ensure Project Quality and Business Growth – Monitor project risks, quality and deliverables, resolve issues and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for additional business.

Requirements

·       Education – Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Automation or a related engineering discipline.

·       Relevant Experience – At least 5 years of project management experience handling complex engineering projects involving semiconductor equipment, precision machinery or analytical instruments.

·       Project Management Skills – Strong experience managing project budgets, resource allocation, schedules, costs and overall project delivery.

·       Technical Understanding – Ability to understand engineering requirements and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, electronics and software engineering.

·       Leadership and Customer Management – Proven ability to lead engineering teams, manage customer expectations, negotiate project scope and timelines, and build long-term customer relationships.
