Job Responsibilities
Conduct engaging and structured phonics lessons for children aged 3 to 7 years old.
Deliver lessons using established curriculum materials and teaching methodologies.
Assess students’ reading and phonetic progress regularly and provide feedback to parents.
Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports different learning abilities.
Prepare teaching materials and maintain records of students’ learning development.
Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and learning needs.
Attend training sessions, meetings, and development workshops when required.
Ensure safety and classroom discipline are maintained during lessons.
Requirements
Preferably with prior teaching experience in phonics, early childhood education, reading programmes, or related fields.
Candidates with L2/L1 ECDA certification, diploma in early childhood, or relevant phonics certifications (e.g., Jolly Phonics, Letterland, etc.) will have an advantage.
Passionate about working with young children and helping them grow in reading and language skills.
Strong communication skills and a clear, pleasant speaking voice.
Patient, energetic, and able to engage children in fun, interactive learning.
Able to work on Sunday afternoons (highest priority) and selected weekdays.
