We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer – AI Products & Platforms to develop and maintain modern web applications and AI-enabled products. This role combines strong full-stack engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities into production systems of a Singapore Government Agency.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will take ownership of the end-to-end development and delivery of scalable, secure and high-performance applications, working across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure and AI services.

You will work in an agile, DevOps-driven environment to build and enhance digital products, integrate LLM-powered capabilities and ensure applications are reliable, maintainable and production-ready.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

Full Stack Application Development

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable, responsive and secure web applications.
• Build modern frontend applications using React.js, Next.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and/or Python frameworks.
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, third-party services and cloud platforms.
• Apply sound software architecture principles to ensure performance, scalability and maintainability.

AI Application Development & Integration

• Develop and integrate LLM-powered features into production applications, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), function calling and AI agent workflows.
• Implement AI guardrails, output evaluation and appropriate error-handling mechanisms.
• Build and enhance AI-enabled products with a focus on reliability, security and user experience.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity while maintaining code quality.

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Implement containerised application deployments using Docker.
• Support infrastructure automation, application monitoring and observability.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and optimise application performance and reliability.

Security, Testing & Engineering Quality

• Implement secure authentication, authorisation and API integration mechanisms.
• Apply secure coding practices and address common application and LLM-specific security risks.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot production issues and implement continuous improvements.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and contribute to engineering standards.

Technical Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience in full-stack software development, including delivery and support of production applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js and/or Next.js.
• Experience with Node.js (Express.js, NestJS) and/or Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating external services.
• Experience with Git, automated testing and modern software development practices.
• Familiarity with frontend styling frameworks and component libraries such as Tailwind CSS or Material UI.

AI & LLM Engineering

• Hands-on experience developing and deploying LLM-powered applications in production.
• Experience with RAG, tool/function calling and AI agent workflows.
• Understanding of LLM evaluation, guardrails and responsible AI development practices.
• Familiarity with LLM-specific security risks, including prompt injection and sensitive data leakage.
• Experience using AI coding assistants effectively within established engineering practices.

Cloud, DevOps & Security

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and architectures.
• Experience implementing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and containerised deployments.
• Understanding of application monitoring, logging and observability.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorisation mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, API security and secure software development practices.
• Understanding of application scalability, caching and performance optimisation.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Experience delivering technology projects for Singapore Government agencies or the Public Service.
• Familiarity with government security, governance and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI or other enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience building AI agents, copilots, chatbots or intelligent workflow automation solutions.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, Redis or distributed application architectures.
