Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Functional Business Analyst with a strong background in data-related projects, business requirements management, SQL, and data analysis. The ideal candidate should be capable of working closely with business stakeholders, translating requirements into functional specifications, and supporting testing activities to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Collaborate with Business Unit Specialists to elicit, review, and validate business requirements.
• Perform impact assessments and analyse the to-be business and operational processes based on agreed requirements.
• Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor and manage risks and issues related to requirements and scope creep.
• Perform impact assessments and estimations for project change requests.

2. Functional Design & Solution Alignment

• Transition requirements to System Analysts, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Maintain traceability between functional specifications and business requirements.

3. Testing

• Review test plans and functional test scope prepared by the testing team.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect prioritisation, tracking, and resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in business analysis, with a strong track record of delivering data-related projects.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience in data profiling and validation.
• Expertise in data mapping and transformation.
• Good understanding of relational databases.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
• Experience with change management and project management fundamentals.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to drive collaboration and resolve complex issues.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and deliver under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Confidence in presenting and explaining complex topics clearly and effectively.
