Job Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of bookkeepers and accounting executives, setting performance targets and maintaining service quality.
Manage daily workloads and allocate client accounts to ensure timely and accurate delivery of accounting services.
Review bookkeeping transactions, invoice processing, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
Oversee accounting services for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
Review monthly financial statements, variance reports and transaction records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Manage client enquiries and act as the main point of contact for escalated accounting matters.
Improve accounting workflows through automation, system integration and standardised operating procedures.
Train and mentor team members on accounting systems, client requirements and operational procedures.
Monitor team productivity, identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and Singapore regulatory requirements, including ACRA, IRAS and CPF Board regulations.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Tax or Business, or an ACCA qualification.
Minimum 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience managing multiple client accounts in an accounting firm, outsourced accounting agency or client accounting services environment.
Proficiency in cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero or similar ERP systems.
Familiarity with OCR document processing and accounts payable/receivable automation tools.
Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
Good knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting and multi-entity accounting.
Excellent client management, communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and continuous improvement.
