About the Job

We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to help us deliver a reliable, polished, and delightful experience to millions of Notewise users worldwide.

At Notewise, quality is more than just finding bugs. It's about understanding how people use our product, anticipating what could go wrong, and making sure every interaction feels right.

You'll work closely with our engineering, product, and design teams throughout the development process, from early feature discussions to testing and release.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys exploring products, uncovering tricky edge cases, solving problems, and taking real ownership of product quality.

What You'll Do

• Multi-Platform Testing: Perform thorough manual testing across iOS, iPadOS, Android, and Web, ensuring a consistent and seamless user experience.
• Test Planning & Execution: Design and execute test cases, including functional, exploratory, regression, and pre-release testing for new features and existing workflows.
• Bug Identification & Management: Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps, working closely with engineers to ensure timely resolution.
• Customer Support & Feedback: Help troubleshoot user issues, respond to support inquiries, and monitor feedback from channels such as Discord, Reddit, and app store reviews.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with engineers, designers, product managers, and founders to identify potential issues early and continuously improve the product.
• Release Quality: Help evaluate release readiness, prioritize issues based on their impact on users, and ensure that every update meets our quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve our testing processes, workflows, and overall product experience.

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and software testing fundamentals.
• Familiarity with mobile applications and the iOS, Android, and Web ecosystems.
• Ability to identify, reproduce, and clearly communicate software issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing consumer mobile applications.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools such as Linear or Jira.
• Experience with test automation or AI-assisted testing tools.
• A personal interest in productivity apps, note-taking, or AI-powered products.
