Role Description

This is a contract on-site role as a Technical Sales Engineer at SPS. The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and promoting the company's related products and services in the oil and gas industry. The role involves understanding and articulating technical specifications, providing first level technical support to customers, assist with preparations of proposals and presentations, and negotiating contracts.  Able to respond, manage and support inquiries and tasks from Principals and clients as and when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering / Geosciences / Geology/ Geophysics. Additional or Higher qualifications / related certifications would be an advantage.
• Have the experience and basic Technical knowledge in the oil and gas industry, especially in petroleum engineering and Geosciences.
• Excellent proficiency in English, written and verbal communication skills, other than mandatory proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision & excellent interpersonal skills and attitude.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and overseas principals.
• To avoid and discuss any conflict of interests in any potential business arrangements.
• Strong sales and business development skills - grow existing & develop new businesses.
• Identifying potential markets & customers - to explore more new customers to increase opportunities and expansion of market share.
• Proficient in analysing, planning, strategizing, and recommending actions or approaches related to sales and marketing activities.
• Results-oriented and possess good initiatives, willingness to learn new things
• Able to respond, manage and support inquiries and tasks from Principals and Clients, as and when required
• Ability to understand and articulate technical specifications, and clients requirement.
• Assist with response for RFP/RFQ/RFI/MS/SE in a timely manner and contribute to refining technical responses working with principal companies as required
• Experienced in preparing proposals and negotiating contracts will be an added advantage
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management/direct supervisor when required
• Possess a valid driver's license & own transport. Willing to work and travel outstation as and when necessary.

Remuneration

Monthly salary based on current market rate (according to years of experience).

Business related expenses on Pay & Claim basis.
