Job Responsibilities

1. Market Resource Research: Conduct research and evaluation of core resources in target markets including Asia-Pacific, Europe, the United States and the Middle East. Key areas cover land resources (land use classification, planned usage, geological risks), power resources (grid architecture, available substation capacity, PPA feasibility), water resources (water supply capacity, cooling water guarantee), network resources (fiber routes, submarine cable landing stations), site future expandability, as well as systematic research and assessment of competitor landscape.
2. Macro Analysis of Target Regions: Perform systematic evaluation of candidate cities, including regional demographic and economic growth trends, existing and potential hyperscale customer footprint, data center supply-demand balance and policy environment analysis.
3. Site Technical Assessment: Lead site visits, evaluate site capacity to support hyperscale data centers (100MW+) from engineering perspectives such as power supply & distribution, HVAC and networking, and prepare site selection feasibility studies and comparative analysis reports.
4. Customer-Driven Site Selection: Closely monitor strategic directions and expansion timelines of hyperscale cloud providers. Translate customer technical specifications (power density, cooling method, PUE, ESG, etc.) into site selection criteria to align site decisions with customer business objectives.
5. Government Liaison & Approval Coordination: Liaise with local governments, investment promotion agencies, power utilities and water authorities, drive project permitting, power connection, EIA approvals and implementation of incentive policies.
6. Commercial Negotiation & Contract Execution: Conduct commercial negotiations with landowners and utility providers, draft and execute land purchase/lease agreements and related contracts.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management or related fields are preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in data center site selection / pre-development, industrial park site selection or pre-development of large-scale infrastructure projects.
3. In-depth knowledge of data center power supply & distribution, HVAC, TCO modelling and PUE management; familiar with compliance procedures including power interconnection, environmental impact assessment and planning approval.
4. Solid understanding of key site selection considerations for hyperscale clients, including power connection timeline, renewable energy, time-to-market, data sovereignty, etc.
5. English as a working language, with cross-cultural communication and commercial negotiation capabilities; able to travel frequently.
6. Possess both engineering mindset and commercial acumen; diligent, integrity-driven and self-motivated.
