About the Role

We’re looking for a young, energetic, and passionate individual to join our kitchen team at Nong Geng Ji Sdn Bhd, specializing in authentic Hunan cuisine. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic kitchen environment and wants to grow their culinary skills in a traditional and flavorful cooking style.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation (washing, cutting, marinating, prepping proteins and vegetables)

• Support line cooks and chefs during service, ensuring dishes are prepared to standard and on time

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas

• Follow recipes and portioning guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and presentation

• Assist with inventory checks, stocking, and receiving deliveries

• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times

• Support dishwashing and kitchen sanitation duties as needed
