A well-established international organisation with its corporate headquarters in Singapore is looking for an Accountant to join its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a broad and hands-on finance role, with exposure beyond traditional financial reporting into treasury, tax, business planning and finance improvement initiatives.

Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play an integral role in supporting the financial operations of the corporate office.

You will be responsible for the preparation of full sets of accounts, monthly closing and financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, journal entries and supporting schedules. You will also oversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure that financial information is accurately captured and reported.

As part of the wider finance function, you will support management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, including analysing actual performance against budgets and identifying key movements or variances for management.

The position also provides exposure to corporate treasury activities, where you will support liquidity and cash flow planning, banking matters, foreign exchange transactions, deposits and financing arrangements. You will work closely with external banking partners and maintain relevant banking and financing records.

You will also be involved in tax and statutory matters, including Singapore tax-related submissions and supporting external audit requirements, while coordinating with professional advisers and relevant external parties.

Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to participate in finance improvement and digitalisation projects. This may include streamlining existing workflows, strengthening controls, improving reporting processes and exploring the use of automation and technology to increase the efficiency of the finance function.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally possess a Degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent professional qualification, with approximately 4-7 years of relevant experience gained within commercial accounting, corporate finance or audit.

You should have:

* Hands-on experience in financial accounting and full-set reporting
* Good understanding of Singapore statutory, accounting and tax requirements
* Exposure to cash management, banking or treasury activities
* Strong Excel and financial analysis capabilities
* Experience working with an ERP or enterprise accounting system
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

Candidates with prior experience in a multinational or complex corporate environment will have an added advantage.
