What The Role Is

ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore’s internal security and stability. For over 75 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. What You Will Be Working On

As a Technology Scouting and Partnerships Executive, you will be part of a team that helps to drive innovation by pulling in innovative ideas, products and capabilities for internal adoption and active use. You will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

• Seek out promising technology start-up with innovative start-up solutions for possible adoption
• Engage and manage industry partners and internal stakeholders to scope objectives and propose engagement strategies
• Engage and manage research collaborations and field trials with both overseas and local tertiary institutions / consultants / vendors / partners on research projects or initiatives in the Fields of Interest (please see below)
• Monitor industry and technology trends to formulate appropriate engagement strategies and identify promising partners

Applicants should be preferably knowledgeable or proficient in at least one of the below fields:

• Physical or protective security
• Audio, video & multimedia analytics
• Artificial Intelligence and machine learning
• Internet platforms and services
• IoT & wearables
• Cybersecurity, APT & malware
• Emerging technologies (e.g. Generative AI, Quantum Technologies, Distributed Ledger Technologies)
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Good command of written and spoken English
• Able to go on overseas travel
• Able to exercise good judgement in determining problem resolutions & approaches to solutions
• Able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in project management and/or knowledge of other languages would be advantageous
