Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and propose tailored AV solutions.
• Prepare detailed system designs, proposals, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Develop solution diagrams, single-line drawings, and technical documentation.
• Deliver product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and solution presentations.
• Liaise with vendors and distributors for product selection and compatibility.
• Provide technical handovers and design support to the project delivery team.
• Stay updated on emerging AV technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Work closely with the technical team to ensure solutions are both practical and aligned with industry best practices and trends.
• Arrange product updates and technical training sessions for the sales and engineering teams.
• Manage and complete onboarding

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Audio Visual (AV) Technology, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems, including audio, video, control systems, video conferencing, and AV-over-IP solutions.
• Proficiency in using AV design tools and CAD software, such as AutoCAD, is an advantage.
• Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into practical, cost-effective AV solutions.
• Good understanding of AV product specifications, system integration, and equipment compatibility.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, engineering, project delivery teams, vendors, and distributors.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to keep up with emerging AV technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Ability to conduct product updates and technical training for sales and engineering teams.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks and complete assigned responsibilities independently.

Nice to Have

The following are advantageous but not required:

• Japanese language ability is an advantage.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in AV system design, solution engineering, or technical pre-sales.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to conduct product demonstrations and deliver technical presentations.
• Experience in preparing system designs, technical proposals, Bill of Materials (BOMs), single-line drawings, and technical documentation.
