Job Summary

The Restaurant Supervisor manages daily operations, leads front- and back-of-house teams, and ensures high standards of food quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. You will act as the link between staff and management, leading shifts and resolving issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor opening and closing duties to ensure smooth daily restaurant operations
• Coordinate service flow between front-of-house and kitchen teams to optimize guest experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area to uphold hygiene standards
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and mentoring staff to meet service quality goals
• Welcome guests and monitor table service to ensure prompt and courteous customer interactions
• Resolve customer complaints tactfully and promptly to maintain guest satisfaction
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory counts to control costs and minimize food waste
• Enforce strict adherence to food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations to ensure compliance
• Handle cash transactions accurately and record daily sales for operational reporting
• Prepare operational reports as needed to support management decision-making

Required competencies and certifications

• Valid food handler safety certificate (mandatory for compliance with food safety regulations)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
• Secondary school, O-Level, ITE, or A-Level education; degree in hospitality or business management is a plus
• Strong leadership skills demonstrated by effectively guiding teams to meet service standards
• Effective communication skills to coordinate between staff and management and engage guests
• Problem-solving skills applied to resolve operational and customer service issues promptly
• Multitasking abilities to manage multiple responsibilities during busy shifts
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
