WE’RE HIRING: SECOND IN ENGLISH AS AN ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE (EAL)

MYFutureJobs Negeri Sembilan is recruiting on behalf of an international school based in Bandar Baru Enstek.

This role supports the Head of EAL in curriculum delivery, student language development and departmental leadership.

Location: Bandar Baru Enstek, Negeri Sembilan

Salary: RM13,055 per month

Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, delivering and reviewing the EAL curriculum for students with different English proficiency levels.

• Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills through differentiated lessons and targeted interventions.

• Assess language proficiency, monitor progress and use assessment findings to guide teaching.

• Support subject teachers in adapting lessons for EAL students.

• Provide guidance and contribute to teacher training and professional development sessions.

• Organise enrichment activities that encourage language development, participation and inclusion.

• Deputise for the Head of EAL when required and assist with departmental planning and policy development.

• Liaise with parents, pastoral teams and external agencies to support students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• TEFL, TESOL or CELTA qualification, or equivalent experience.

• Experience working with international students in academic and summer camp settings.

• Familiarity with interactive and immersive language learning strategies.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience in EAL teaching and curriculum development.

• Strong understanding of language acquisition and effective teaching practices.

• Ability to guide and train teachers in supporting English language learners.

• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
