We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to join our growing renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and coordinating solar PV projects for residential, commercial, and industrial installations while ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and within budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct site visits and collect electrical, structural, and site information for solar PV design.
• Design grid-connected solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Prepare PV layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), panel schedules, and connection diagrams using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for solar PV projects.
• Prepare technical drawings and documents for tender submissions.
• Prepare project timelines, work scopes, and material cost estimates.
• Attend client meetings for technical discussions and presentations.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, Consultants, Contractors, and suppliers to resolve design and project issues.
• Support on-site design changes and assist with system performance analysis.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the superior.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Computer literate and proficient in software such as AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, PVsyst, Helioscope, and SketchUp
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Able to work at height and travel to project sites when required.
• Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
• Independent, resourceful, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Possess own transport and a valid driving license.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent.
• GCPV System Design certification is an added advantage.
• Preferably 1–2 years of relevant working experience in the solar PV industry.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM2,900.00 - RM3,600.00 per month
